Watch your match in real-time, or use the Match Time Bar to fast-forward through sluggish minutes or rewind key moments in the game. With this customization at your fingertips you can also choose the information you'd like to see during the match, such as latest scores or player performance stats for the match.

Engage Journalists, Train Players, and Get Help from Your AM
No coach can do it all. Even the best need help from friends, so Worldwide Soccer Management 2009 comes equipped with an Assistant Manager. Your AM provides pre-match and in-match feedback on how the team is performing, and even delivers a few suggestions (hints) on how the team could play better. Every team has to deal with press. Good or bad, you're expected to attend pre- and post-match press conferences. When being interviewed by local and national journalists, make sure to choose your answers carefully because they could come back to haunt you later.

Speaking of journalists, you can tap into the media and learn all about the global soccer gossip. Worldwide Soccer Management 2009's simulation of real-life soccer is even more realistic with the addition of the transfer rumors system. Now you can view the hottest news about players and speculation about who might be transferred where.

Players can now be trained quickly and efficiently in a variety of new moves and positions -- even positions unfamiliar to them. For example, central defenders can learn to hold onto possession and wingers can be trained to cut inside and bypass the full backs. And for the first time, you can even play as a female manager and become the first woman to lead your favorite team to domestic and European glory.

What Customers Say About World Wide Soccer Manager 2009:

Instead the opponents had the ball in my half and they were supposed to throw in. the ball was in the opponents penalty box and the opponent's defender was closer to the ball than my Striker. If you are used to playing FIFA 09 (not fifa manager). In fact there were times I was wondering what are these players doing.

It is like, there is not air. Therefore, I couldn't place the players where I wanted in the first place. Graphics. Sometimes the players just act like a wall, for example, If a player is unintentionally hit by the ball, the ball simple rebounds in a very weird manner. I remember one occasion. Also, some pple have said AI engine is good.

In this game you cant, there are fixed positions that you can place your players in. The game is not good I looked at the formations and I had a hard time to place the players where I exactly wanted. Unfortunately I cannot describe you what it looks like, but you may search for videos on this game on YOUTUBE. I was waiting for the match to get over so that I can quit the game and send it back to Amazon. The crosses being made don't seem realistic either.

Well, I don't think so. For a second I thought I was only watching highlightsOverall I am really disappointed by this game. I don't remember other occasion in detail but the incident mentioned above happened a few times, where the player close to the ball simply didn't charge for the ball. I got this game today, and I played a match. The last Fifa manager game I played was Fifa Manager 06 or 07. Trust me, Fifa Manager 06/07 had much better graphics than this game. It is not pleasing. Also, you aren't really watching the whole match.

Example, My team scored a goal and the match didnt restart from the center. I have not played Fifa Manager 09 so I cannot compare the two. u know that u can make your players move even an inch here and there. But, this game is a disappointment.I played 1 game. The defender ran towards the ball and for some reason he started running backwards (the goalkeeper didn't move towards the ball either so there were no signs of confusion between their players), the defender could have easily cleared the ball or retreived possession, instead my striker got the ball and scored the goal. Also, the physics of the game is terrible. It just broke the continuity of the game.

I won the (away) match 5 - 1

This is not for those who prefer graphics over game simulation.Bug: I've been playing the WSM 2009 this last week and the game starts hanging with "Array Index out of Bounds" when I switch to TV view. I've been playing this series for the last 10 years and its definitely the most addictive game ever. The AI engine is the best ever. This has happened about 2 times today and its really frustrating to play a few games all over again. I have rated it 3 stars till they get this fixed.

great game for those of you who have plenty of time. that is only downfall in my opinion, because now that i actually have a job and coach, i can only dedicate maybe 30-45 minutes a day on this game. other than that, it includes everything you ever wanted to do as a manager of a football team. btw, if the game does not load, turn off the 3d match engine and everything will work smoothly.

Yet, it's almost definitely the most realistic simulation out there. And the game was released with so many problems they didn't test for, they've already released 2 full patches.

You'll be toying with tactics (and sliders) that Sir Alex Ferguson never heard of, and would never use. You'll watch 1,000 different silly ways your team will lose a game, i.e.

The database is great and I love the player ratings, but if you get this game, be prepared to endure more frustration than any real-life soccer manager would ever have. Your players will get injured so often you'll be afraid to play them.

goalies dribbling out of the box and getting skinned over and over again, defenders who are rated with no pace out-sprinting your fastest strikers all over the field. You will rarely win on the road unless you crawl into a defensive shell, and teams that have players with the poorest ratings might beat you because you said one thing wrong in your press conference.

The game has become a bit farcical and removed from reality. Your move.

Coming from the FIFA series, I miss playing the game, but the rest keeps me glued for hours at a stretch.Updated on 2 Feb 09:I had a problem with this game, when my laptop shut down abruptly. You can actually make so many subtle adjustments that you badly wanted in the FIFA series. And wondeful part is that you almost get a real time feedback on your actions. Also the match visual is badly done, a shock if you are coming from FIFA series. All this cons make me give it a 4 star.Summary, if you are looking for actual gameplay of football, i'd say this one is more for the behind the scene strategists. Then everything is in your hands. And lo.you make one shoddy statement, say that a player is performing well when he's actually not, and some might even get back at you thorugh the press. Here is how it goes.you start off as a new manager of any club you like, (almost.they even have clubs and players from India).

Transfers, payroll, training, critical changes in match, motivating team(down to individual playes at times.wow). and a host of other features. This game is just so.soo involving. You just get to manage the games, not play them. You cannot hear any sound other than in the match mode. It dates back to mario stage. And yes, it does crashes every now and then, so remember to keep on saving after you've won an imp match or made a great transfer. It left a feel-good factor. Although they did not hit the solution right away, the replies were prompt, and they finally got it resolved in a week.

Respond to the press, give pep talk to team/players, interact with players. The save game file got corrupted. The AI is also pretty strong, so do not take the low ranked teams lightly, else upset wins/ draws are not uncommon.Defintely a market leader in terms of offering you control. However, be warned, that actual match would need much lesser attention, the game's not how good you with the controls, it completely handsoff. The tech support from Sega was amazing. Thumbs up Sega.
